A CLINICAL SURVEY ON THE MANAGEMENT OF MAXILLORACIAL FRACTURES


Abstract
authors have experienced 129 cases of maxillofacial fractures during recent 3 years and analysed their clinical findings and results of management.
The following results were obtained.
1) The most common location of fracture was nasal bone(63.6%) and the most common causewas traffic accident (41.9%).
2) The most common age group was 3rd decade(36. 4%) and male to female ratio was 5:1.
3) The reduction of fractures was performed mostly at second week (48.1%) and used frequently by closed method(63.6%)
4) The complications of fractures of ten management were occured in 27cases(20.9%) and the most common causes of complications were delayed reduction time after trauma.
